Helping kids (and adults) smile
Through gifts from generous donors GCDE facilitates life changing cleft palate and cleft lip surgeries with our in country partner Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCRBT). The process starts with GCDE Ambassadors providing education about the issue of cleft lip and cleft palate and developing a local understanding that services are available to correct the cleft and allow a normal, productive lifestyle for the patient. In collaboration with CCBRT, patients are provided with free transport, accommodation, food and surgery. GCDE Ambassadors work with our office to provide all the logistics before, during and after the surgery.
