helping moms injured in childbirth
At times during the birthing process a woman’s body is damaged and she is not able to control her urine. These ladies are ostracized in Tanzania and cannot participate in normal daily activities. Many of these women are abandoned by their husbands and ostracized by their communities because of their inability to have children and their foul smell. The problem can be corrected with surgery but many people are unaware or do not have the resources for this procedure. GCDE Ambassadors provide education in rural communities and together we facilitate the travel and follow up to help these women receive the needed surgery.
