Fish Farming Seminar 12/26/2008
Thanks to the crew from Kapenta Development Center and Kanisa la Neema we had a great seminar at Mumba village. People were eager to learn more about small scale fish farming and the benefits it can bring to their families. The guys from Rukwa Valley brought up 700 small fingerlings which were sold after the seminar to those who are ready to seed their ponds. Our biggest problem right now is, where to get more fingerlings. Since we introduced the first pond at the tree nursery in Mumba, we have been suprprised to learn that 24 new ponds have been prepared in Mumba village. Together with two other nearby villages there are now 74 ponds in various states of preparation. CommentsMatt De Young 12/27/2008 11:58am
